What is the admission procedure to get into NITTE engineering college

Established in 1986, NMAM Institute of Technology is  affiliated to the Visvesvaraya Technological University, Belgaum and is recognized by the All India Council for technical Education, New Delhi.
Nitte Engineering College is accredited by National Assessment & Accreditation Council [NAAC] & all the programs are accredited by National Board for Accreditation [NBA]. Institute is certified to the ISO 9001-2008 standards for quality education by NVT Quality Certifications (ANAB accredited). The institution has been granted Academic Autonomy under the Visvesvaraya Technological University from 2007-08.
NMAM Institute of Technology offers graduate programs in Engineering for an intake of 840 students for program duration of 4 years. Any candidate who has a pass in the 12th standard or equivalent examination approved by the Visvesvaraya Technological University, with not less than 45% marks as an aggregate in the optional subjects of Physics, Mathematics and Chemistry/Bio-Technology/Biology/Computers/Electronics, with English being one of the languages of study is eligible to take up the program.
A admission in NITTE University to BE programs for students of Indian students is as per the norms of Government of Karnataka. The NITTE Engineering College also admits students through entrance tests such as , CET, COMED-K, PGCET, GATE, GMAT and others. Students are also admitted under a Management quota
Government of Karnataka conducts the Common Entrance Test ( CET) tentatively in April of each year, Karnataka domiciled students can apply for this test & the allotment of seats is done online. As per process 45% of seats are filled through CET, 5% supernumerary quota seats are also made available for meritorious- economically weaker students with the tuition fee waiver provision.
Karnataka & Non- Karnataka students can both appear in the COMED-K which is conducted by the consortium of private colleges of Karnataka; about 30% seats of the total intake is fileld through this mode.
There is also a reservation of 25% to be filled through management quota, provisional admission formality starts in the month of April each year.
Over & above the sanctioned intake, AICTE has approved 15% extra seats for foreign nationals/PIO/NRI/students whose parents work in Gulf countries. Candidates admitted under this category are required to produce proof of their NRI/ Foreign National / PIO status.
Students who meet the eligibility criteria need to produce a list of documents at the time of admission include, 10th, 12th pass certificates, Transfer, Migration & Conduct Certificates, Eligibility Certificate issued by the Registrar ( VTU), physical fitness & blood group certificates, photographs. Apart from these, foreign nationals also need to produce No Objection Certificate from the Government of India, AIDS Free certificate from a competent medical authority & Residential Permit (RP) issued by the Foreigners Registration office (FRRO).
