Symbiosis law school,Admissions,entrance test & Fee Structure

Symbiosis Law School was established in 1977 & became a part of the Symbiosis International University in 2002 and subsequently has enjoyed an enhanced degree of autonomy in the fields of teaching, learning & research. Symbiosis institutions itself were established in 1971 by Dr S B Mujumdar as an educational & cultural center of international standards.
Symbiosis Law College is considered to epitomize excellence in legal education in India is also considered to be a flagship institution of the Symbiosis International University. The College has classrooms equipped with the latest audio- visual aids, multipurpose halls, library, conference halls, resource centers, canteen, gym, faculty rooms.

 Symbiosis Law School towards encouraging mooting activities, has set up a Moot Court Association (MCA) , which follows a policy of encouraging participation in mooting from all batches including the first years. To allow students to compete on an equal footing, MCA arranges interactive sessions with experienced mooters & litigators from previous batches to guide the present mooters better. MCA also organizes demonstrations to enable students to learn the process of mooting from basics to intricate details. The College also has a host of distinguished lawyers and legal luminaries as visiting faculty on its rolls. One of the most prominent names is that of Senior Adv Ram Jethmalani , MP & Former Minister for Lw & Justice, Govt of India who serves SLS Pune as an Emeritus Professor.

In a journey spanning 38 years, Symbiosis Law College has achieved several milestones including being the first law college in Pune to offer evening law programs & is a pioneer of the 5 year law program. Symbiosis Law School has an innovative & creative approach to education & has the honor of being a core partner in the global network of legal institutes of the Erasmus Mundus consortium. It has also earned the reputation of being one of the best law colleges in India.
Symbiosis Law College has emerged as one of Top law colleges in India as it has been ranked 2nd in a ranking of top law schools in India by GHRDC Hotel Management Institutes & Law School Survey Results 2016.  Symbiosis Law School has also been ranked among the top 10 law schools of India in 2013 by India Today Nelson survey.
In order to be eligible for enrolling at Symbiosis Law School, Candidate should have passed 12th (10+2) or equivalent exam from any recognized board with a minimum of 45% (40% for SC/ST).
To apply to Symbiosis Law School candidates seeking admission should complete the Symbiosis law entrance test (Symbiosis Entrance Test- SET) by completing the online registration process by making a payment of Rs 1500 for SET Registration fee & Rs 1000 per program ( B.A LLB  Hons) or BBA LLB for SLS Pune via online payment or through Demand Draft ( DD). Shortlisted candidates will then be called for the Personal Interview & Writing Ability Test (PI-WAT). Final selection will be based on consideration of the combined merit list of 50% each of SET Score & PI-WAT
The college offers 2 flavors of law courses. One is a 5 years BA LLB ( Bachelor of Arts BBA LLB ( Honors) 5 year (10 semesters) full time program with a sanctioned intake of 180 students & separate reservations quotas for SC/ ST/Differently abled/ Kashmiri migrants& international candidates within the scheduled intake.
 Symbiosis Law colleges fees for the 5 years BA LLB (honors) program is Rs 2,45,000 for Indian students & Rs 3,65,000 for international students.
The other flavor is the 3 years LLB which is a 3 years ( 6 semesters) full time program with a student intake of 120 numbers & separate reservations quotas for SC/ ST/Differently abled/ Kashmiri migrants& international candidates within the scheduled intake.
Symbiosis law school fee structure for the 3 year LLB course is Rs 1, 80,000 for Indian students &  Rs 2, 65,000 for international students.

Placement process in Symbiosis Law School Pune is carried out in 3 phases including CV verification & screening process, Training & skill development workshops & Day zero declaration.
Companies ranging from corporate, banking to litigation are some of the key recruiters offering an average pay package of 8.20 lakh p.a & a maximum package of Rs 15 lakh p.a. A partial list of recruiters include, Deloitte USI, CIPLA, Aditya Birla Group, Bajaa Alliance, ONGC, TCS, Vodafone, Wipro, Lakshmikumaran and Sridharan etc.
